Davido’s real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, he was born on November 21, 1992 to the noble family of Mr/Mrs. Adedeji Adeleke. Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke is a business magnate while his mother, Vero Adeleke was a university lecturer.

The popular Nigerian music artist was born and brought up in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the youngest of five siblings and his father’s second-born son. At the age of 16, he attended British International School in Lagos, Nigeria where he obtained his WASSCE and later that year moved to moved to Alabama, US, to study business administration at Oakwood University.

While at Oakwood University David Adedeji Adeleke bought musical equipment and started making beats back to back. When he realized he had so much passion for music, he dropped out of school in order to pursue his music career  relocated to London, where he worked on his vocals.

In returning to Nigeria in the year 2011, his father urged him to return back to school which he did. Davido paused his music pursuit and went back to school (Babcock University). In  2015, he graduated with a degree in Music and went back to pursue his music career in full force.
