Teni’s Biography

Her name is Teniola Apata short for Teni. When it comes to talent, she’s got it all. She’s a song writer ,singer and entertainer. Teniola Apata hails from from Ekiti  State , Nigeria but was born in Lagos on the 12th of December, 1992 making her 28 years old at present. Teni went to Apata Memorial High School; her late father’s school and after her secondary education, she relocated to the United State of America and obtained a degree in Business Administration  at the American Intercontinental University.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that her family has music inclined people as her elder sister Niniola is also a top Nigerian Singer too. Like many other artists, she joined her school band when she was a child and this has helped shaped her to the star she is today. Her rise to stardom started after she dropped her single “Fargin” in 2017 and since then, she’s never stopped releasing killer tracks that have gained her a lot of popularity in the music industry.

She’s also featured in singles by other artists like “Rambo” by Dr. Dolor feat. Teni, “pray” by Dr. Dolor feat Teni and Phyno, “Aye Kan” by Shizzi feat Teni and Mayorkun and “Murder” by King Perry. As a song writer too, she wrote Davido’s “Like Dat”. Teni has won so many awards and been on nomination lists since her music career started. She’s won the Headies Rookie of the year 2018, the 2018 Soundcity MVP awards for best new artist , the 2018 Nigeria Entertainment Awards for Most Promising Act to Watch.

Her song “case” won the 2019 Headies Best Pop Single. “Uyo Meyo” was the 2019 Headies Best Recording of the year, she’s won the 2019 Headies Viewers choice Awards  and the best Vocal Performance (female) for “Uyo Meyo”. She’s also won the 2020 soundcity MVP Awards for Best Female MVP. Her progress has also fetched her lots of endorsements from pepsi, Budweiser, tecno mobile etc and she’s currently estimated to have a net worth of $200,000 which makes her one of the richest female in the industry.
